Icons don't come much more recognizable than this 1979 Porsche 911 SC. However, even as arguably the world's most popular sports car, there is always room for improvement. So a few well-chosen upgrades have transformed this one into something both unique and spectacular to drive.
Silver always works on the 911's sleek shape, and you can spend a lot of time studying this SC and still might not see all the improvements. The front bumper was swapped out for lightweight and streamlined unit like those found on RUF's “Yellow Bird” supercar. So it gives this coupe a bold face that makes it appear as if it could also break the 200 MPH barrier. This not only looks fantastic, but also it should improve air flow to the oil cooler for improved reliability. Euro-style headlights give it a much sleeker look, too, and a very trick “whale tail” spoiler makes it one of the sportiest looking 911s around. It's all coated in lovely silver paint that has a great luster in the sun and shows off Porsche's incredible build quality with even gaps throughout. Combined with 17-inch Fiske forged wheels, and this one looks like there's plenty of substance to go with its added flash.
